We got our Active Flag!

We are thrilled to inform you that our school has been accredited with our First Active School Flag! We are so happy with our achievement, especially since we are one of the few Infant Schools to receive such accreditation.

We want to thank everyone who has been involved in the process over the last two years; pupils past and present, teachers and all school staff, our Principal, our PA and BOM and you, our parents. We would like to thank the GAA and Tennis Clubs for their contribution along with the Irish Heart Foundation and the ParkRun. A special thank you to Ian Redmond for our WOW poster and our PA for such a successful initiative.

Over the past two years, we have valued PE and Exercise as much as we value reading and writing and for this, we have been awarded the Active School Fag. We have had so much fun and see such a positive change amongst the girls and staff when it comes to physical activity.

Well done to Victoria Debernardi of Room 10 whose Active Week Poster was the overall winner and can be seen on this letter. We believe it captured the essence of our school and our determination during quite an unusual two years of school.

We will have a special flag raising ceremony on Wednesday, June 9th and on this day, the girls can come to school in the active wear of their choice on this day. We can’t wait for you to see the flag flying high above our school. Thank you, everyone.

Well done, girls! We are so proud of you!
